12/08/22 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team T&D and Team R&B💕

Team T&D hiked out to Kaena Point and met up with Lesley.
Their first find was BG303 (she's back). She is looking very green and is quite smelly, all signs she going to molt soon.
When they got to the point there were three seals.  Ka'ena RO40 going through his molt. On the main beach side was Squinty R330 and PvKauai RW02.
There were lots of albatross sitting on nest and flying around.  They even saw a group of four juveniles trying to find themselves a mate.

Team R&B were out and got to see this mornings beautiful sunrise. They arrived at secrets and found
one seal on shore, it was Kekoa RK72. There were signs up but they were fairly close together. They called the hotline and hung out to ask people to keep their distance and not bother the resting seal.  Most listened but there is always the one or two who don't.  There was one couple that walked in and then the dude stubbed his toe.... tsk tsk can you say karma?
They waited for a volunteer to arrive and when they did Team R&B left.
Just before leaving they spotted another seal coming in.  It was Aukai RL12 and she is looking gorgeous! She landed to the other end from where Kekoa was resting. He sneezed and she looked, but continued to haul in and stayed.

At another site they saw a large seal on the rocks. The seal was looking to move for a higher spot to rest on. It was RL08 and he's looking huge.  They could see fishing line on the rocks. Thick line and thankfully not attached to the seal, it was just on the rocks and going into the water.
While on site they sere searching the water and spotted another seal. It swam pass them and headed over to where RL08 was resting.  The seal was cautiously coming in  and landed to the left of RL08. It was Kaale RH32 and he looks good.  He was also close to where the thick fishing line was on the rocks.

Last stop they searched around and finally spotted a seal on the rocks.  It was Kala RH76 snoozing away. With the heavy winds she looked to dry, but for sure she is doing just fine.
