They started out really late today as the storm went through the area with heavy rains. The roads were like lakes and there was a street light pole down and a telephone pole split in half. (Most people would have stayed home, but not our dynamic duo).
They arrived at Kahe point and there were no seals to be found anywhere. But that didn't stop them from watching a pod of dolphins, swimming really close together.
Then they spotted the sharks again, swirling about off shore. They still couldn't determine the type of sharks.
It started to rain heavy again, but they spotted whales. Couldn't let this pass by so they stood in the raintrying to capture them breaching over and over again. Visibility was poor with the down pour but they tried.
And then there were the tourists who thought it was a good idea to go for a swim. Team R&B advised them not to go and shared their pictures. They even shared their binoculars so they could see for themselves.
The rain came to a halt, the whales were gone and so were the dolphins. Funny how that works.
Next they headed over to secrets and a volunteer was on site. There were two seals up against the naupaka bushes.
There was Kekoa Alii RK72 alert and looking around him. They noticed he was squeezing his belly as if he was going to poop. Actually they noticed RN14 Kalani doing the same thing, but neither of them pooped or much of anything else.
The volunteer took down her ropes, left the red signs up that came from Auntie. She left the site around noontime.
Team R&B stayed watching over both seals. The winds started getting stronger and still raining. This was a sign it was time to go.
