12/16/2022 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:05 to 2:15 and there were six seals on island today.
In the middle back of LPB was an Adult Male #1: adult size, newer coat, light gray male belly, unsure about tags.
There was a group of three seals about 50 feet Makapuu side of 1BS:
Juvenile Male: juvenile size, light gray male belly and two red tags.
RK24 Wawamalu/Bruno: subadult to adult size, light gray male belly and two red tags, scars on lower left lip and on right side.
Adult Male #2: subadult to adult size, dark gray male belly and two red tags.
The three moved around and then about 1:40, the J/M, then RK24 followed byt the A/M2 all entered the water.  Then about 2:02 Marilyn found all three hauled out on the 1BS side of LPB.
Almost directly down from the 3BS was an Unknown Subadult: subadult size, dark gray ventral and dorsal, not sure about sex or tags.
About 50 feet Makapuu side of 3BS was an A/F: adult size, yellowish-tan female belly and two red tags.

Team R&B spent some time looking and looking on the beaches. Last evenings (Thursday's weather) thunder, lighting and heavy rains most places had brown water.
They heard from some divers there were lots of sharks in the area and Team R&B actually saw them. They didn't know what type but they were big.
They finally saw one seal to the right and alone. He was in the water with the big surf it was hard to get a decent photo. They did ID RL20 Kalua but the little bugga never landed.
They went over to the Lifeguard and reported the sharks. They posted a sign.
