12/25/2022 Sunday (Xmas Day) Dailies

Posse Pal Justin hiked Ka'ena Point today. He found two seals during his time and both seals were called into the hotline.  RO40 Ka'ena and RM36 a seal from Kauai. I don't have anymore information on RM36/37, if its a male or female and if its been seen on Oahu before???  It will be interesting to find out.

Team R&B wishes everyone a Merry Christmas!

The beaches were packed with people, mostly tourist, and it was a beautiful clear day. Team R&B had a slow seal day but that didn't stop them for enjoying the scenery. 

They watched a Boobie bird hunt for food and he caught a large fish.  Finally spotted a seal foraging off the outfall. They were able to ID R3CX Nalu.

There were lots dolphins playing and as always having a great time.

Next they were lucky to find RQ24 Mauna. He was at his favorite site just resting on the rocks.

From there they decided to make the Kaena west trek, and unfortunately there were no seals to be found. 

They did enjoy the awesome waves, whales out there spouting and a clear view of Kaena Point.
