09/09/2021 Thursday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Lesley and Team R&B💕.   Lesley's Ka'ena update is part two of the dailies. The report is a two for one covering Wednesday and Thursday updates.

Team R&B arrived at the bay, and yes sir there was the little green piglet RL20 Kalua foraging.  He hung out at the Jetty were the fishers were. And today there were only two boats in the bay.

They spent time searching for seals, and were coming up empty. They headed over to tracks and it took some walking around to come across two seals. There was RL12 Aukai and RH32 Kaale sound asleep on shore high up.  There were two guys decided to fish right in front of the seals. Then the guys turned and spotted the seals so they moved to another spot.  ( this always makes you feel good when people make an effort to give the seals some space.)

While Team R&B were keeping tabs on Kaale and Aukai, they saw a seal swimming coming in full speed ahead. They watched, the seal had a clean coat, cookie scar on rear area, a funky scar on back, sweet beautiful face. The seal kept swimming past them.  They went through the list of possibilities, and think it could be R7GM a female from Kauai. It will be interesting to see if she hauls up anywhere in the next couple of days.
