11/19/2018 Monk Seal Dailies:(part 1)

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley. See part two for Lesley's Ka'ena update.

Team Billands first stop before 7 am was at a Leeward Beach where they found Benny RE74. He was all the way up near the bushes snoozing. They were able to confirm that he is 100% molted, his tags were visible and showing his CC scar under belly. They called the hotline and waited for a volunteer. There were some folks on the beach while they were there and then they left once volunteer Melina arrived.

Their next stop they found RL42 Leia laying sideways on the rocks. They did verify her tags, but did not stay long, as they did not want to draw attention to her.

Just down the road they made another stop and there once again is Kekoa RK72 all alone, facing the ocean. Team Billand wondered if there had been a visitor or was there another critter nearby.
Well about 30 minutes later they hear and spot another seal, and it landed on the high rock.
Then this critter got washed off the rocks and it went around to the right. They ID'd RH32 and he was being very vocal.  He came in and up over the rocks and ponds to get to Kekoa. They had quite an endearing encounter. Volunteer Melina arrived and got to enjoy the boys with Team Billand.
In the end, Ka'ale snorted, Kekoa woke up, they met with a nuzzle of the muzzle and some whooping from Kekoa, then some sleep.
Both boys were still there when Team Billand made a return visit.
