11/16/2018 Monk Seal Dailies:

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand and Lesley. See part two of the dailies for Lesley's Ka'ena update.

Team Billand was out this morning and first thing they found little Kauai girl RH92 in the same spot for the last couple of days. Today she was right at the public access snoozing away.  This always is a problem!  Team Billand called the hotline to let them know someone needs to warn people heading down the access that the seal was there. There are so many people who come down and walk their dogs.
To make matters worse the tide was rising so RH92 moved all the way up to the wall. Team Billand stayed hoping someone would come soon and thankfully volunteer Melina showed up.  Barbara warned her as she approached, and she was surprised to see RH92 right there.

Team Billand headed out to check on Kekoa and were delighted to see he was in fact there and today he had company. Turns out Kawena returned to hang out with him. Kekoa was on lower rocks, left of Kawena both resting peacefully.  Kawena was curious of Kekoa and peaked at him, turned to go over to him. Kekoa was alerted looked up at her and she stopped. Kawena's coat is flawless, nice and clean.

Team Billand got a call from Auntie, that there was a seal at paradise cove. They got to the site and were told the seal was on the rocks to the left, they headed over and volunteer Karen was working to get people back from the seal haul up.  Robert helped her put the ropes and signs up right away. Pohaku is looking healthy, plump, all her markers showing, cookies on right side, scars on her face and natural bleach on hind flippers.
Random note Team Billand spotted a submarine off the coast with a lot of people hanging out on deck.
