New posse pal Joan sent in some photos of a seal that hauled out this morning at Nimitz near the jetty. Team R&B asked her to send the pictures into the blog and its greatly appreciated. This seal is reported as an Unknown Adult, since it didn't show any clues as to who it might be. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to share.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:20 to 2:50 and there were three seals on island today. 

On LPB was an Unknown Adult, although Marilyn thinks its one of the Adult Females from yesterday. The UA was adult size, newer coat, unsure about sex or tags.

At SRI again was RP24 Mohala: juvenile size, light female belly, two red tags and nb on the tip of her LFF. She appears to have completed her molt.

On RRB was an Adult Female: adult size, older coat, tannish gold female belly and two red tags.

ALSO today is RK96 Kaiwi's 12th birthday. Although we don't always mark birthdays these days, Kaiwi is special to Marilyn and many of us.

Once again Team R&B went to check on the two ladies at the bay. There was Kala RH76 and Leina RL70 on a sand patch. They were just about to head into they're water spots. RL70 is now 70% done with her molt.

Next they made a quick stop at another west side location. They found one seal on lower rocks and ID'd RM31 Kai.  The tide was high and waves were covering the entire area.

Team R&B went back to recheck on Kala and Leina, but now there were three seals together near the sand patch. To their surprise was RL20 Kalua who joined the two ladies. He is looking quite green and was laying on his side.
