August 10, 2023 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:00 to 2:30 and there were three seals on island during her observation.
On LPB was an Adult Female: adult size, new coat, due to angle was unable to see tags or belly.
Near SRI was RP24 Mohala: juvenile size, mostly new coat 95% molted, light gray female belly, two red tags and NB on tip of LFF.
Out on RRB was a Subadult Female: subadult to adult size, older coat, tan female belly and two red tags.

Team R&B got a late start today and had to take care of some personal business. They did make it out to the bay to check on the girls.
Once again RH76 Kala and RL70 Leina were together.  They were making their way to the ponds to cool off.
Kala reached the pond first in record time, rubbing her left side of her mouth. It made them wonder if she had something stuck, or a hook.
They watched closely and nothing was seen. Maybe she just had an itch, but she kept rubbing her mouth alot.  She spent some time rolling in the ponds but at all times keeping her eye on her BFF RL70 Leina.
Leina just moved to the rocks and dipped her head in the water. Her molt is progressing faster now. HEr whole body is a mess!
It is very cure seeing the bond between the two females looking after each other.
