Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:10 to 2:35 and there were four seals seen during that time.
Way back near the cliff of LPB was an Unknown Adult: adult size, unknown gender and tags. This is probably the same UA as yesterday.
Adult Female 1: adult size, older coat, yellowish tan female belly, and Marilyn did not see tags.
Subadult Female: subadult size, new coat with medium gray female belly and two red tags.
Closer to SRI and alone was Adult Female 2: adult size, older coat, darker female belly and at least one tag.
Today was a much better day for Team R&B as they put it all sunshine and smiles. And he's back home doing his best to enjoy seals. Their first stop was breakfast then off to the bay where they found Miss Kala RH76. She was alone and resting. (Kudos to Mr Ayla who helped Team R&B today).
They checked the usual spots and no seals until they noticed a seal at the cliffs. There was a large male alone. He had no tags, and finally after moving around they noticed the scar on his head. They ID'd RG32 who they hadn't seen at this location before.
And to make the day interesting they saw a lot of cows gathered together.
The highlight of the day was when they returned to the bay. They were sent a video of another seal and couldn't make out who it was so they returned. There on shore with Kala was a weaner with a transmitter, female with tags RS36. It took them a minute but were thrilled to see Pualani! She is plump, healthy and beautiful. Her transmitter is intact and they noted a couple of scars on her back but nothing bad. This weaner gets around, good to see her healthy, not to mention how excited everyone is to see her.
