Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:10 to 3:00 and there were three seals seen on Island today.
Hauling out on LPB about 1:30 was a seal, Marilyn believes to be RP24 Mohala: juvenile size, new coat with light gray female belly, two red tags and nb on the tip of her LFF.
Nearer the 1BS side of LPB was the molting Subadult Female: subadult to adult size, about 45%molted, female belly and two red tags.
Near 3BS was either a Juvenile Female or a weaner: female belly and two red tags.
Team R&B made their way over to the bay and was grateful to fine Kala RH76. She was at her spot once again. She wouldn't flip over for them to see how her molt is going. Based on what they could see they estimate she is about 50% complete.
At another west side location that made a quick stop. There they found RM31 Kai on high rocks. He was alone resting and thankfully he cooperated and showed his tags.
On a personal note: I have not mentioned anything earlier in that I felt Team R&B had much to deal with and I wanted to respect their privacy. Robert has been having some health issues and has been in a rehab facility. The good news he will be going home soon and will continue to work on getting better. I want to give a huge shout out to Robert for all his years of looking after the seals and all the two of them have done for the seals over the years. Not to mention their dedication, for that both Barb and Robert will forever be my heros. Wishing you better days my dear friends, much love the blog lady.
