August 29.2023 Tuesday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:15 to 2:50 and there were four seals on island.
Between 3BS and SRI was the Subadult Female: subadult size, new coat, light to medium gray female belly and two tags.
Initially near SRI were three seals:
Adult Female 1: adult size, older coat, yellowish tan female belly.
Marilyn noted she still has not seen tags on her.
Adult Male: adult size, older coat, medium brown male belly and at least one red tag.
Adult Female 2: large adult size, old coat, mottled tan female belly and tags not visible.

The AF1 galumphed over to and beyond the SF. The AF1 was playing with a morning glory vine and ultimately it was wrapped around her chest. Then the AM galumphed over and passed the SF so it nuzzle
and bother the AF1. The SF then moved a short distance away.

On Team R&B's first visit to the bay they found two seals. Kai RM31 and Kala RH76 were side by side on the rocks resting.
Later on they made a second visit and both seal were getting ready to leave the area. This time Kai jumped in the water first and Kala followed behind.

Next stop they spotted a seal on shore from afar.  There were two folks near the seal taking photos of a topless woman.  They were upset but they couldn't get down to the area.  The seal was an adult male with red tags and was green and grubby.

Sadly at Makaha Beach they spotted a large honu with a huge pink tumor on its left eye, and other
tumors on other areas.  They called the hotline immediately in that it looked to be in bad shape.

Lastly at another west side location they found R416.  He was alone on the rocks basking in the hot sun. Then he got hit by a big wave, which caused him to move into the water behind the rocks.
