Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:00 to 2:45 and there were four seals during her viewing session.
Initially there were two seals on LPB:
Adult Female 1: adult size, older coat with brownish-gray female belly and at least one red tag.
A short distance from the 3BS was a Juvenile Female: larger juvenile size, old coat with lots of green, green female belly and two red tags.
About 25 feet from SRI was an Unknown Subadult: subadult to small adult size, two red tags and unsure about sex. The U/S was near the round rubber float that has been moving around the shoreline for over a week. Marilyn noticed the U/S was gone at 2:23 and then at 2:30 believes the same U/S hauled out at LPB not far from A/F 1. The U/S may have a scar or nb on its right side, so this might be RK24 Bruno/Wawamalu.
Posse Pal Tammy finally made it back to Ka'ena Point. She was out there yesterday with Lesley.
Their first fins was RW02 PvKauai.
With the low tide they decided to do the opihi trail and they found R617.
They spotted a seal swimming in from the west side The seal was R330 Squinty checking out the outer pool. He made is way to the runway and checked out Ka'ena. He was on the move went back around to back beach and finally hauled out on rock island in the main pool.
Of course they went and checked a couple of the beaches for the weaners. They did see RS08 and RS20.
Team R&B was out this morning and had a very short day. They found the lovely RH76 Kala who continues to look like she getting some good eats. They couldn't stay long and when leaving they saw a beautiful little Strawberry Finch.
