Justin participated in todays whale count and were on the southeast side. As an added bonus they came across RM26 Nohea. Kaiwi's 2020 kid !! Justin called the hotline, and he noted she was in good condition.
Team R&B headed out to pick up junior sealette first and then onto the beaches they went. On a west side location they found three seals. RL70 Leina was on the rocks, next to her on the right was RW02 PvKauai. Then there was a seal hauling in who turned out to be RL20.
They left to head over to another site. They were fortunate enough to see some humpbacks in action.
While watching the whales they found Kaale RH32 and Kekoa Alii RK72 on shore by the rocks. They stayed with the boys until 2 pm. Then posse pal Diane came to take over. Much appreciated.
After taking junior sealette home they went back to check on the seals they saw earilier. They were happy that this time RP84 Pe'ekai was there. He was going from pond to pond. Surf was still very high.
Pe'ekai went over to check RW02 then off to the next pond. He galumphed over to Leina, they greeted each other with no problem. Pe'ekai would then rest his fat head on her hind flippers. She was fine about it. In the end, Pe'ekai would go to his own spot and went into snooze mode.
