01/06/2022 Thursday's Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team T&D and Team R&B💕

Team T&D headed out to the point with Lesley. It was very muddy out there and only one seals.  They did did find good ole' R330 Squinty all on his own. Luckily they showed up when they did, because soon after Squinty left.  Makes one wonder where the seal party is at.
They also saw a couple of whales and of course beautiful albatross.

Meanwhile Team R&B did their regular searching and coming up empty. They looked out over the ocean, they studied the rocks, looked at the shore line and walked some beaches.  Not a seal out on this beautiful blue sky and sunny day.
Then they got a frantic call from a friend that a seal hauled out. They headed over and found RG28 Lefty high up on shore, where no people could pass. Team R&B went looking for signs and couldn't find any. Finally the landscaper came by with two signs and a small rope. They put them up immediately.
Team R&B spent time educating all the folks as they were arriving. There were groups coming up at once and then leave, then the next group of visitors and they would go through the process again.
RG28 didn't seem so happy as he was very vocal. He entered the water and Team R&B was happy thinking he was going to leave. But no, he came back looking at all the rocks looking for a buddy. But no other seals came by to keep him company.
Team R&B called the hotline and informed them the waves were big covering up areas of the beach that people wanted to pass. Told them they were passing by Lefty and he wasn't all that happy.
Team R&B informed the tourists that the water was dangerous, rough, lots of currents not to mention the brown water was not good.  Team R&B left when the crowds died down before noon.
On their way home they got a call another seal hauled out. They did not return because there was way too much traffic to fight both ways.
