Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 11:15 to 1:05 today and there were three seals on island.
On LPB towards the 1BS were two seals:
A/F; subadult to adult size, newer coat, female belly and two tags. This seal also has a dark patch on the ventral neck area. It appears to be the same A/F as yesterday.
A short short distance Makapuu side of the 3BS was a J/M; juvenile size, old coat with lots of green, yellow male belly and no tags. There may be a scar on the right side of the chin.
Team R&B started their day finding Nalu R3CX foraging in and out of the bay. They also found RL20 Kalua also foraging. Later the saw Nalu hauled out on the rocks alone.
At another west side location they found Kala RH76 alone on the rocks. She is looking good no signs of any new marks or wounds.
From a far they spotted two seals at tracks. When they headed over they found RN14 Kalani by the fishing poles. To the right at the bath house was his bosom buddy RH32 Kaale. Later on in the day they found RL12 Aukai hauled out as well.
At another location they found a seal with lots of cookie scars. The seal's natural bleach on fore flipper was the give away, there was Lefty RG28.
The find of the day for Team R&B was the cute little RM31 Kai. He was alone enjoying his peace.
