Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn, Team T&D, posse pal Justin T. and Team R&B💕. Marilyn's Rabbit Island update is part two.
An email from Justin informed me he spotted PO4 Manana on Sunday at 5 pm at Hanauma Bay. He reported her to the hotline and saw her three weeks ago in the same location. What is cool about this sighting is Marilyn reported her on Rabbit Island at 12:30. PO4 was ID'd by her roto flipper tag 215 on her RRF.
Team T&D hiked Ka'ena today, there day was summed up in one sentence. No whales, no albatross, one seal Ka'ena RO40.
Team R&B started their morning at the bay and captured a very cool picture of the moon and a star. They found RH48 Lei Ola and R3CX Nalu foraging in the bay. And much to their delight they got to see RL20 Kalua landing on the rocks.
They made a quick stop to another west side location and found Miss Kala RH76. She was resting comfortably alone on the rocks.
Then Team R&B got a text from posse pal Melody that she was with three seals. Same as yesterday there were three seals on shore, but today it was R407 Kawika, RG28 Lefty, and RH32 Kaale. (I guess RN14 had other plans.)
At another west side beach they found Miss Aukai RL12 snoozing in a nicely set up zone by the Aunties helpers. She was resting comfortably, and there were lots of curious tourist around. Volunteer Karen was on site, and posse pal Melody.
Team R&B headed out for their last stop. They studied this seal from a far, they initially thought it waswas another seal, but when they got closer to the area they saw it was RP30 Puka. He is looking quite handsome and plump. Interestingly, he was in a spot that his mom (RL42) usually hangs out.
Next stop and well worth it, there was RM31 Kai fast asleep. The little buggah would not move at all. After about an hour in the hot sun, he finally moved. He showed his tags, but too quick to get a photo.
