Just a little before 7 am Team Billand was out on a westside beach and found RW02 PvKauai. They called and informed the hotline.
Later they went back to check on him and he was still there, except this time there was a guy close by with a throw-net. RW02 was very aware of the guys presence and leaped up and barked at him. The guy must have got the message because he looked to be in shock, got his net and moved away. (Way to go RW02).
Team Billand last check was about 11 am and RW02 was gone.
After their initial visit with RW02 they left to head over to another westside beach close by. There was a male critter alone. Turned out to be RN14 Kalani all the way to the right. His tags were visible and so were his bleach marks both natural and applied.
Soon enough another seal was coming in. Turns out to be Kawena RH36, she looked at RN14 and came in to haul up. RN14 must have heard her, he looked, very calm and turned towards her. All was good, they remained together resting all day.
Next two critters to arrive were Kekoa Alii RK72 and Kolohe RW22. First Kekoa and then Kolohe hauled up. The two dudes hung out together and all was well.
Last to arrive around 3:45 was Kaale RH32. Team Billand made one last check before they headed home and found Kaale on left high rocks snoozing upside down, looking like his adorable self. A couple of fishermen there but they were fine, as they had been around them before.
