This morning Team Billand headed out and spent over an hour studying two critters offshore on the Leeward side. They were foraging and fighting off shore. They were only able to ID one critter as RW22 Kolohe. The other seal was an adult but they could not make an ID.
At a westside beach Team Billand saw an animal from a far and when they got to the site, it took them a a little bit to find it. Then they spotted a critter galumph over the rocks to a favorite spot. They ID'd Lei Ola RH48 alone.
On their next visit to this site they now see another critter just across from Lei Ola who was snoozing in the little shallow pond. They were able to ID Ka'ale RH32 and not sure when he arrived, but he was now snoozing peacefully.
On their usual checks they were happy and surprised to find Oahu's newest visitor from Kauai R376. She was in the same spot as yesterday snoozing alone, looking nice and plump. Team Billand did not stay long so she would remain hidden.
Team Billand got a call that there was a seal at KoOlina. They made their way over and found RH92 in a small cove on a small patch of sand. There were a couple of folks in front of RH92, Team Billand was able to get their attention and motion them to move back, in which they did.
Miss RH92 is looking nice and plump today, she must have had a couple of good meals.
While looking around for seals Team Billand got to enjoy a pod of whales out on the water with several boats in the area. Some of the boats.... a little close.
