Early morning check to the westside beach where they found another day of critters hanging out together. I guess this is the place to be, the first two critters were Kekoa Alii RK72 and Kawena RH36 together on lower mid rocks. Kawena moved away from Kekoa who watched her very closely.
Then to the right they spotted an animal sleeping who was alone, they were able to ID RW02 PvKauai. Next they spotted a seal foraging offshore doing 6 to 8 minute dives. The seal finally hauled up next to RW02, they were able to ID RIP RR70.
Three hours later while on site Barbara heard a familiar sound, "bort" and "snort". Two seal were fighting in the shallows. It was Kolohe RW22 and Ka'ale RH32 aka butthead.
The went at it forever, through the rain. Finally Kolohe hauled up and Ka'ale was right behind him, but then he left. Kolohe remained on high rocks alone.
Team Billand took a chance to check out Plains during the early afternoon rains. The rain on the plain did not phase Ms. Pohaku RO28 by the fence line. She was alone with signs around her. A guy approached from the ewa side and informed Barbara he walked right up to Pohaku not realizing she was there, although the signs were up.
Last stop for Team Billand on their way home was at a Leeward beach. There was da Benny RE74 on shore alone without any signs. Even with the crappy weather there were plenty folks around.
