Marilyn forwarded an email from posse pal Ken. Ken was at Ka'ena Point on Sunday and got some good photos of Ka'ena with his new tag, applied bleach N9 and his transmitter.
Team Billand came across their first critter after 9 am this morning. They found RN14 Kalani, alone on the rocks. He is looking good, nice girth and no new marks or behavior out of the ordinary.
Next stop to another west side beach there was Kekoa RK72 snoozing at his usual spot on high rocks. He remained there all day.
Also on high rocks snoozing to the right was RW02 PvKauai. He was very dry indicating he had been there for some time. He remained all day and on their last visit he had moved to the pond.
Once again today there were a couple of seals off shore fighting. Yesterday there were three today only two. Team Billand couldn't get an ID with the glaring sun. The seals were reported as U/U.
Last stop for Team Billand they initially spotted two seals ID'd RK88 Puna and RH48 Lei Ola. As they scanned the area they spotted another, hidden below. They went down some and found RL42 Leia. RL42 was on her back snoozing peacefully across from the other two.
