June 25, 2023 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:05 to 3:20 and there were three seals on island today.
When she first started viewing one of the weaners was snoozing on the rock flats of LPB. Female belly and two red tags.
At 2:18 Marilyn became aware of what she though was one seal hauling further out on the rocks flats. After a short while she realized it was two seals hauling out. One was Weaner B and the other was an Unknown Subadult. The U/S was subadult size and a lighter ventral area, but not sure about sex or tags.

Later Weaner A galumphed back to Weaner B and then all confusion as to who was who. They both galumphed on the beach and Marilyn could see the silver dollar size NB on the right side of one of them.

Team R&B started their day at the bay and found a male on the rocks. They studied him for a long time and finally ID'd RG32. He may have a couple more scratches to left side of his neck. They did not see any tags.

At another west side location they saw two seals on the rocks. R416 Makalii was on lower rocks. All the way left pass seal inlet was the lovely Kala RH76.  They also spotted a huge turtle.

Over at Kahe they were treated to some dolphins. Always nice to see them leaping and playing.
They found RL20 Kalua snoozing on the rocks. IT took a long time
for him to show his tags but thankfully and finally did for a positive ID.

Lastly they did the Ka'ena West trek and it was very hot. To add insult to injury they were skunked no seals seen while they were out there.
