Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:33 to 3:30 and only the weaners were on island today. She also saw someone on island with a throw net. It was reported to DOCARE.
She was only able to get a few photos of the weaners and Marilyn isn't sure which weaner.
At 1:36 pm Marilyn saw a weaner on the rock flats near SRI. She presumes this RS34 who was in that vicinity yesterday.
Later she became aware of a weaner in the surge channel near LPB. One of the weaners later hauled out of the surge channel, only to be scared back in the water by the fisherman. Later Marilyn saw both weaners playing together in the surge channel.
Team R&B had a very slow day, which makes them wonder where did all the seals move off to? They finally located one seal. He was alone, snoozing and they ID'd Nalu R3CX.
Lastly the only other seal they found was Lei Ola RH48. She was very alert and barking, they walked around to see what had her upset. There were two divers, getting closer to her and she let them know to: Get the heck away from me! One diver popped his head up, looking to the left, then to the right and then immediately moved away quickly. Looks like Lei Ola is molting, her face is a mess. Hopefully she molts quickly and get away from the area.
