Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:30 to 3:00 and there were three seals during her observations.
Out on the rock flats of LPB was Weaner RS34: weaner size, color and shape, light female belly, two red tags. and a NB on the lower mid right side.
About 40 feet of 1BS was Weaner RS12: weaner size, shape and color, two red tags and light female belly.
At SRI was a Subadult Female: subadult size, older coat, tannish green female belly, unsure about tags.
Team R&B started their day at the bay. While looking around they spotted a seal coming in. The seallanded and it was R3CX Nalu. He looked around the area, paused and then took off.
As they were walking away, they met up with a maintenance guy who told them to look in the hole.
They went over and started laughing. There was big girl Lei Ola RH48, sleeping in a rocky hole. She was alone, looked real comfy and may have found the best hiding place.
Team R&B had an appointment but as soon as they finished they went back to the bay. There on the rocks was the chubby RL70 Leina.
Lastly for the day they came across one critter and could not make the ID. He was snuggled up in the rocks showing nothing. Then the rains came so they waited out the weather. FInally the seal showed his tags. It was RM31 Kai! Thank goodness he flexed because he wasn't showing anything identifying markers.
