Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:20 to 3:30 and there was one weaner and masked booby pair with their older chick.
Until 2:50 there were no seals seen on the island. Then at 2:50 a Weaner hauled out at the middle cliff area. She had two red tags, weaner size, shape and coloration and light female belly. Marilyn believe this weaner to be RS12 but isn't positive, so she reported as weaner.
Team R&B started their day at the bay and happy to see there wasn't a lot of people around. There wasone seal on the rocks who turned out to be the lovely RH48 Lei Ola. She was alone and snoozing the day away.
About a half hour later they spotted two seals fighting coming into the area. One seal is the naughty RG28 Lefty (I been thinking about where he's been). The other looked to be RH32 Kaale, the two of them were fighting for a while.
If that wasn't enough another seal pulls up and hauls out with Lei Ola. She wasn't happy and barked at RM31 Kai. They hung around a little longer and no other seals came around.
At another west side location they spotted R416 from afar. He was resting and as they approached the other side, they discovered another seal. It was RG32 and was really hard to photograph today.
Their last stop was at the outfall. From afar they could see a seal foraging way out. The seal was too far out to get any sense of who it might be. The only thing they were sure of is that the seal was an adult. Seal was reported as an unknown adult.
