June 23, 2023 Friday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💖

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:50 to 3:15 and there were three seals seen on island today.

At middle cliff was Weaner A: weaner size, shape and coloration, and two red tags. She never got a belly view but she is guessing this is RS12. A weaner has been at this location for most of the past week.

Between 3BS and SRI was a Subadult Female: subadult size, two red tags and light gray female belly.

Initially in the SRI was Weaner B. She later moved up the beach and was fascinated with a branch that has been on the beach for months. She was mouthing sruff on the beach and seemed to gag a few times. She suspects this is RS34.

Team R&B started out at the bay and saw just one fella at the site. It was RM31 Kai.  They did see another seal swimming by at high
speed but it never landed or slowed down for an ID. The most they could say it wasn't too big and was looking green.

At another west side location they found R416 on the rocks again. They watched the little fella move about. He's been in the same spot for the past few days now and seem to be fine. They always enjoy seeing him since he's such a cutie.

Off Kahe area they spotted a seal foraging. It was Kalua RL20 swimming by, snorkelers noticed him and followed him.
They also saw dolphins from afar. A honu swimming by and a ghost net at the outfall.
