04/11/2022 Monday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:35 to 2:50 and there were four seals during her observation.
Near the Lanikai end of LPB there was a J/F: juvenile size, very light female belly and two red tags. She moved up the beach as the tide came up.
Between 3BS and SRI were three seals, from the Lanikai to Makapuu side there was:
S/F: subadult to adult size, yellowish-gray female belly with some green and two ted tags.
A/M: adult size, darker gray male belly, not sure about tags.
S/M: subadult size, light male belly and two red tags. Marilyn did not see scars that would have ID'd RK24.

Team R&B started their morning looking for R3CX, but he wasn't around. Instead at their first stop they saw a seal foraging off the rocks, then hauled in on the rocks. Interestingly this is where Nalu has been. They were able to get a good look and ID'd RL20 Kalua, he looks good and is getting green.  Seems someone tossed the shearwater signs in the ponds. RL20 did take a moment to taste them.
Team R&B also noticed that someone had thrown down big boulders from the wall. Such a shame, no respect at all.

They then spotted Benny from afar. They headed over and he was snoozing near a driftwood structure. Team R&B called security for signs, and when they came Team R&B filled them in on Benny RE74. There had been a homeless guy that broke apart the driftwood right by Benny. Security was aware.

Off to another west side location there was a large seal on shore. At first they thought it was RL42, but it wasn't, turned out to be R413 Makamae and she's pretty fat.
They did find RP84 Pe'ekai, alone and snoozing in his favorite spot. They had an appointment and couldn't stay.

Later they stopped at tracks and found RN14 Kalani. There were so many people on the beach close to him taking their selfies. There were no signs out so they called a seal but who came out to help put out a few signs for Kalani.

At another site they spotted a seal in the pond from a far, They ID'd Kekoa Alii RK72.  Just as they got Kekoa's ID another large seal was taking off. They were able to ID RH32 Kaale through their photos.

Team R&B had returned to one of the sites to check. On their 2nd visit they found RL70 to the right. She was alone and resting peacefully. She looks good, no new markers.
They found Pe'ekai RP84 in the same spot as earlier.
