Today's dailies are brought to you by Lesley and Team R&B💕. Lesley's Ka'ena update from Friday 7/23 and Saturday 7/24 are part two of the dailies.
Team R&B's first find of the day is the little green male who is as crazy as Kaale. RL20 Kalua spends hours foraging in the same place where there are lots of fishermen. Today once again he helped himself to five fish from the fishermen. One of the fishermen is a friend and had caught some akule, so he didn't mind surrendering a fish to RL20. Of course the main concern is Kalua getting hooked. When they returned in the afternoon RL20 was gone, and only he knows where.
At another west side location they were surprised to find Kolohe RW22. His stub of a tag was visible as well as his cue ball natural bleach. He was resting on the rocks peacefully and undisturbed.
Team R&B saw a seal from a distance and there was some dude hanging out close by. They hurried over and found RL12 Aukai. There was a camp close by with dogs, but thankfully they stayed away from Aukai. She is gaining weight looking good getting her pre-molt weight up.
At their next stop once again they were greeted with a surprise. There was their "butt-head" kid Ka'ale RH32. It's been a while since he's been on their side, so you can imagine how happy they were to see him. He is also looking pretty green and resting on the rocks alone.
They could see a seal on the beach off in the distance. They weren't sure they wanted to make the long walk in the heat. But their dedication did not let that happen and off they went. There was a couple taking selfies and they got within 5 feet of the seal. When Team R&B arrived the couple had left but their footprints remained. The seal is RN14 Kalani resting alone. They could not get a good look at his eye because of his position. He appears to be okay, no sign of stress or discomfort. His tag was visible so they knew for sure it was him.
Earlier when Team R&B were at the jetty they saw a dolphin with it's calf. How adorable is this?
