They were out early and as usual found RL20 Kalua near the jetty at the bay foraging and stealing fish. At one point a seal lunged out to take a fish from the fisherman's line and climbed up on the rocks. Well turns out this was not RL20 but none other than Kaale RH32. As quick as he was there he was gone.
They took a short walk around the area, and were thrilled to find a seal who is looking green up on the rocks. It was Kaale RH32 again and it looked like he just landed. So good to see the him hauled out.
At another west side location they spotted a seal coming in, hauled up on seal inlet looked around and then went into the pond. As quickly as it went into the pond it came out and left. The same seal then came around to lower rocks and landed again, as if anticipating another seal was around. Team R&B looked for an hour and did not find any other seals. They did ID'd the seal that came in as R3CX Nalu, looking quite green. They couldn't stay, but on their way out they did see volunteer on the rocks. When they did a recheck later in the day, Nalu was now at the water front rocks, in a little pond with lots of crabs, some crawling on his face.
