Today's dailies are brought to you by Team T&D and Team R&B💕.
Team T&D hiked Ka'ean Point and had a five seal day. The point was quiet which is nice considering how many visitors are on island. Their first find was RO40 Ka'ena and the next was Pv Kauai RW02. Once they got to the NAR, they spotted RL74 Kami. She had the right idea, half in the water cooling off. Nect on the runway was Squinty R330. While out at the point they did observe Squinty do a lap in the outer pool and then they lost sight of him. Lastly they stopped by to see the chubby weaner RP30 Puka.
Team R&B got to the bay at sunrise and found their resident seal Kalua RL20. He was foraging and
stealing fish (wonder if he's related to Ka'ale) At one point he swam so fast chasing the akule on a line, the fisherman reeling in as fast as he could, but Kalua won and took the fish.Their next find was the lovely Miss RL70 Leina. She was on lower rocks at another west side location.
From afar they spotted a lone seal at tracks. They drove over and found RL12 Aukai. There was a camp close by, lots of kids on kayaks and campers walking around. She lay there alone tags showing. It's been a while since Team R&B had seen her. They called the hotline and waited, but no one came out.
Team R&B went back to check on Rl20 and he was still foraging. They got a glance of a flipper flex and it was Lei Ola RH48 hidden in the rocks. Then six tourist came walking by on the rocks below and spotted the seal, they all headed right for her. Team R&B called out to stay back and it stopped them immediately. They all continued on their way. Lei Ola was in a good spot very well hidden (except for the six people).
They spotted a seal from a distance on Makua Beach. They were unable to hike out there to get a positive ID. It looked to be an adult male with an older coat. Reported as an U/M
