Today's dailies are brought to you by Marilyn.
Marilyn observed Rabbit Island from 2:15 to 3:45. There were three seals during her observation.
About 100 feet Lanikai side of the 2BS was P04. She appeared to have hauled out just before Marilyn arrived. She snoozed for a while then started playing with a coconut. She ended up nudging the coconut into the water, after playing for 30 minutes.
P04 later hauled out about 15 feet closer to the 1BS. P04 was ID'd by her shape and coloration, her light female belly, no nb and her single red tag on right rear flipper.
About 50 feet Makapuu side of the 3BS, two seals were on the beach near each other. UM, adult size, older coat, dark male belly. Marilyn did not see any tags. RK37 (Huia), subadult female, older coat, yellowing female belly, two tags and NB on her lower rear left side.
The UM entered the water near the 3BS about 2:25 and hauled out five minutes later near the 1BS where he went clear up into the dunes "looking for chicks" came back down, went into a depression on LPB. He entered the water again about 10 minutes later. He wasn't done, about 20 minutes later he hauled out and rejoined RL37 at the 3BS.
