Team T&D hiked out to Ka'ena Point and met up with Lesley. Their first find was Luana RN58. She is looking very round like many of our females.
Their next find was RJ40 E'ena. She's a Molokai seal that has recently visited the point on multiple occasions.
Lastly they found Mr. PvKauai RW02 on the rock island. Funny this guy truly is a permanent visitor.
Team R&B made their first stop at a west side location. They found the lovely RL70 Leina. She looked a little thinner than their previous sighting but is fine.
Heading over to another location they found a seal that they were having a hard time IDing. So they walked out, which can sometimes be tricky, but today there was a policeman there. Turns out the cops have been getting complaints about all the dogs in the area. Turns out after a brief conversation the cop was interested in seeing the seal, and Team R&B was happy to help. They walked over and Team R&B was able to ID the seal as RG28 Lefty and he was alone.
Team R&B had an appointment earlier and when they finished they saw a text from Melody that she was with three seals. They hurried to the site and there was RK72 Kekoa Alii with RN14 Kalani challenging him for RL12 Aukai attention.
Kalani was quite animated in his fighting for Aukai. Kekoa Alii was more of a gentleman. They got a good look at RK72's muzzle and it looks clean and just fine.
After two hours watching over these three, Team R&B left, while Melody stayed on. Melody spent a lot of time educating the crowds, and kids. Turns out the trio never left the beach and posse pal Diane had stepped up to watch them til dark. So thankful for the posse on the westside helping out!
Team R&B made a second visit to one of the west side locations and this time they found Pe'ekai RP84well hidden as usual. Then to their shock there was a huge male. After lots of studying they spotted a scar on mid head. He had no tags, there was R330 Squinty !!! This is only his second visit to this area as far as they know.
Last stop they found RL20 Kalua stretched out on the rocks. He was snoozing and alone, he must be tired after filling his belly.
From afar they spotted a male with red tags and a shark bite scar resting by the cabins. They determined this critter to be Nalu R3CX.
