The big news come from Team Billand finding Ka'ale at Kahe... HOOK free. The little dude has had a bad month or so... I am sure Team Billand were elated to see no hooks, no lines dangling, and he was relaxed on the rocks alone.
While observing Ka'ale there was some movement in the water another seal coming in. RN14 coming in looking to the rocks. It took a bit for RN14 to get up on the rocks, but persistence paid off and RN14 hauled out next to his buddy Ka'ale. The two of them just chillin' together. Team Billand departed at 10:30.
They had notified NOAA on Ka'ales condition. When they returned at 1 pm both seals were gone. They didn't see either of them for the rest of the day.
Tammy hiked out to Ka'ena Point today and found RW02 at Hidden Beach. Tammy also found a U/U at Ka'ena Point and wasn't able to make an ID. (just not enough to go on)
Vicki was out at Turtle Bay and came across Holokai hanging out with some of the hotel guest. And of course a little down the way was Momma Ua Malie and PO4. Vicki had a suggestion for this little boy's name... (which of course I think is a great suggestion) "Kaniela Pone" aka Daniel Boone :-)
Last but not least Gayle got a call about a seal at Eternity Beach. When she arrived she found Kolohe. He hasn't been seen in a bit, then again he could have been one of the UUs visiting Rabbit Island . Thank you Gayle!
