Posse pal Amy spotted a seal on a popular west side beach today about 1 pm. The seal on shore was RG28 Lefty, he was ID'd by the very visible N29 applied bleach on his side. At one point another seal hauled out approached Lefty. Lefty barked at it and the seal took off. There isn't much to go on for an ID other than it looks to be the same size. It could be one of the bosom buddies. Seal was reported as an unknown.
Team R&B headed over to one of the busy beaches and when they arrived they could see a seal in the
water looking for a place to land. Unfortunately a surfer passed by it and the seal took off. They thought it might look like RN14 Kalani. They weren't able to get a decent picture to say for sure.
Next location they found RL08 on top mid rocks, snoozing and alone. He would get smacked by a wave and moved around a bit. He was able to stay up on top rocks during their visit.
RL20 Kalua was on lower rocks. He had just hauled in as they arrived. He is looking good, no hooks, no lines just resting.
They did a second visit a little later and this time there was Pe'ekai RP84 just coming out of the water hole. He is looking healthy and such a handsome little guy.
Below him was RN14 Kalani. Guess he decided to leave his morning spot and head over here with less people. He is a big boy especially next to the little guy.
Such a special find and I know Team R&B was over the moon finding a mother and son together. They finally ended up at the same site at the same time. They were snoozing side by side. Team R&B notices a huge wallow higher up and a tiny wallow for the kid.
