04/13/21 Tuesday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Lesley and Team R&B💕.  Lesley's Ka'ena update is part two of thee dailies.

Team R&B were searching and initially saw nothing, but after a few minutes that spotted a seal off shore. They spotted a cookie scar and natural bleach and made the ID as R3CU. He was foraging doing five to six minute dives. Finally he slowly hauled out taking his sweet time. Once he was out he flopped over the rocks and stayed in the shallows.  When they returned later he was gone.

At another west side location they found their beautiful girl RH48 Lei Ola. She was snoozing alone and

then a HUMAN walks over to get a close up photo. She didn't try to get Lei Ola to move which was nice, but Lei Ola for sure was aware of her presence.  Lei Ola looks good, they did not see the very light line she had yesterday.

Nalu R3CX was also on site, snoozing on the rocks away from Lei Ola. There were folks around and they were very respectful for a change.   While watching over Nalu they saw a man fishing with a pal ( a boobie).  

Last seal for the day was Leina RL42 at the cliffs. It took them a bit to get the ID but with patience Leina stretched out the rocks and fanned her flippers for the tag.  She is looking healthy and large.
