Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand๐
Their first find today was at Paradise cove where they found a seal on shore, no signs just lots and lots of people. They were able to ID RN14 Kalani and put up some available signs from the site. They called the hotline and left a message. Team R&B did their best to educate those who were interested, however there was a number of people that wanted to swim with the deal. They advised this was not safe for them or good for the seal. At 10:30 Kalani rolled into the water and did a slow swim in the cove. No one in the water moved out of the way just stayed. They went over to advise them to be careful the seal is a wild animal and capable of biting. Thankfully Kalani left the cove and went to the right. They did not see Kalani for the rest of the day. Since a volunteer never arrived they called the hotline to inform the seal had departed and they put the signs back.
At another west side location they spotted three seals First critter was Lefty RG28 snoozing by the inlet. Second seal was R3CU hanging out by Lefty. The final critter was RL70 Leina who was in the mid high rocks. Unfortunately there was a pallet in the area which was close to her and of concern, so with great effort they moved it away from her.
