Team T&D hiked Ka'ane Point today and caught up with Lesley at the NAR. Lesley was on her way out as they were heading in. Team T&D first find was the lovely Luana RN58. On the opposite end of the pool of Luana was Lina RL98 face down in the water. When they got to the point they found a "seal rock" that moved. There was RW02 PvKauai playing it cool. A little way away was RL74 Kami sleeping on a small coral patch.
Lastly Team T&D saw a seal scoping out the main pool, but it never hauled out. They watched the seal swim around and finally hauled out at back beach. It was none other than Ka'ena RO40. They noted the best part of their day was seeing all the people out at the point being respectful of the seals and taking photos from a respectable distance.
Team R&B arrived at a westside location and was happy to find three seals. Kalani RN14 was there and RH76 Kala was to his right. R3CX Nalu was at the inlet, then moved to high mid rocks.
It's been a year since Team R&B went to Ka'ena west, so they took a chance and went out this afternoon. They only found one seal R407 Kawika who was laying on his side enjoying the peace and quiet. There weren't a lot of people out there today which made it all the better.
