10/19/2020 Monday Monk Seal Dailies

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand.

They started out at 6 am but got stuck in traffic over an hour due to a fatal accident in Nanakuli this morning. They arrived at electic beach at 7:40 am and met a very handsome bulldog Mele belonging to one of the surfers.

Kawika R407 was on shore and alert, a little bit restless. They observed him as he went down the sand cliff to rest. After they left they saw a young woman walk right up to him for a photo. Shame this happens day after day. On their recheck he was still there, resting on his back.

While watching Kawika they spotted two seals arrive across the way. There was Aukai RL12 who is

looking big, fat and healthy. She was in the company of RG28 Lefty watching her every move. They got sandy fast, argued a bit then chilled out for the rest of the day.  They called the hotline and informed them of the situation.

At another location they found the beautiful RH36 Kawena at 11:24 am. She was climbing up on the rocks, her tags were visible as well as the scar under her right eye.

Team Billand spent the afternoon from 1 pm to 3 pm at the bay checking out the activity. They spotted Nalu R3CX foraging.  They met another handsome bulldog this one named Maui. Next there was Ka'ale RH32 busy foraging further out and by the wall. RL20 Kalua stayed by the buoy and the boats in the water.  Seems there is something that is keeping this little one in the area. Then there was our mystery green faced unknown. It was foraging by the buoy, fighting at times with Nalu and Ka'ale.  It will be nice to know who this turns out to be.
