November 18, 2019 Monk Seal Dailies

WE'RE BACK !!! - I will do my best to catch up with the last couple of days, especially since there were lots of sightings. AND I want to make sure the folks out there kicking up the sand get their updates posted.
Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand.

Team Billand found Benny RE74 again day 8 in the same spot at the wall. He was sleeping and on occasion looking up at something in the water. Team Billand did not see anything.
They has to leave the area for an appointment.

Just before 8 am they found Kekoa RK72 on a west side beach on the lower rocks. He was sound a sleep, even with the waves moving his fat body about. He is looking very green so hopefully he'll be molting soon. He was facing the ocean, so Team Billand could not see if he has started the process.
When they did a recheck he was still in the same spot snoozing. Only now there was another seal.

At 11:40 there just above Kekoa on high rocks was Kawena RH36. Easy ID with her showing off her tags.

At 1:30 Team Billand found a seal at the entrance to one of the west side beaches.  They ID'd RL42 Liea sleeping. Team Billand left her there, but knew her peaceful rest wouldn't last long once the dog walkers, divers and beach folks arrived.
