Team Billand found Benny at 7 am in the same spot he's been for the last six days. The surf was dangerously rough, so they took the long way around and found him tucked up at the wall. Sutfers were out and about and made their way past him. Team Billand contacted volunteer Melina to let her know and she came out and spent time educating the surfers. Team Billand left at 8 am.
Team Billand headed out for their search and found the amazing RH76 Kala on high rocks snoozing. Below was Kekoa Alii RK72 arriving and landing on lower rocks. He did not bother Kala at all.
Kekoa was getting slammed by the rough surf but he just hung in there.
Team Billand was joined by Melody and Melina. The three of them spent time studying Miss Kala RH76 for any marks to make it easy for future IDs. She doesn't have much as far as markers. At noon Barbara got tired and left, and the seals were resting in their own spots.
Team Billand made one more stop on their way home after a long day of seal searching. They made a stop at plains after receiving a call about a seal. When they arrived there were signs up and a large seal. The seal was in a zone set up by the lifeguards and Team Billand were able to ID Buster V08.
Volunteer Kathleen arrived and Team Billand headed out.
