11/14/2018 Monk Seal Dailies:

Today's dailies are brought to you by Team Billand, Melody and posse pals Bunny & Larry.

Starting with posse pal Bunny from Makaha sent and email that she had seen a young critter this morning and it was still there this evening when she got home from work. Clearly its a young'en but the photo of the tags are unclear. Any suggestions are welcome.

Team Billand went out this morning and trekked all the usual spots but they only found two seals today.  Once again today they found Kawena RH36 and Kekoa RK72 late morning.
Upon arrival they found Kawena on lower rocks, snoozing alone. Her tags and N6 applied bleach were visible. She remained in one spot and barely moved.

Kekoa Alii RK72 was off to the right alone more inland. Waves gently washing over him and at times wave would swish him about. He is big and green, not molting yet, but is probably due pretty soon.

Melody got a text from a neighbor that the seal was back, this was late this afternoon.  When she went down she found Rocky RH58. I guess Rocky enjoys the sunsets on the beach. She was ID'd by her cresent scar on her chest, and natural bleach on left front flipper.

I figured out who the seal was that BUNNY AND LARRY saw in Makaha Yesterday.

It is that cute female, RH92....she was out there in Makaha this morning.
