Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:50 to 2:15 and the only seals were Mom and Pup.
Pua RF34 and POs were slightly Makapuu side of 3BS. Marilyn thinks PO3 is a male based on todays views. According to Marilyn PO3 is in his "manapua" stage, where from the rear view he looks like a manapua. Momma Pua is looking considerably smaller, but still not showing her hip and shoulder bones yet. Marilyn believes PO3 will be weaned within the next week.
Although there weren't any other seals Marilyn did spend some time watching the birds: Masked Boobies, a Black-crowned Night Heron, Noddy Terns, Sooty Terns and Red-tailed Tropic Birds.
Team R&B started their day by finding the cute kid R416. He was alone and resting just fine. While checking him out they saw another seal off shore doing 7 minute dives. It eventually hauled in at seal inlet. They were able to ID R3CU. He is looking healthy and regal.
Next stop they headed over to Nimitz. They were happy to find RN14 Kalani back. He was alone and sound a sleep. Thankfully there wasn't anyone around to bug him.
While onsite they were shocked to see two more seals from afar. They hurried over to check it out and found RH48 Lei Ola and the horny Nalu R3CX. He made advances and she barked at him and galumphed along the shore to away from him..... he followed.
