Mary 2, 2024 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:00 to 2:40 and there were four seals seen during that time.
RF34 Pua and PO3 were about 20 feet Lanikai side of the 3BS. During Marilyn's observations they were mostly in snooze mode. PO3 headed toward the water once, but then moved back up next to mom. PO3's ventral is beginning to lighten up, so hopefully Marilyn will be able to make a guess to its gender.
Between 3BS and SRI near the beached tree trunk was a Juvenile Female: juvenile size, than female belly and two red tags.
On the rock flats Lanikai side of SRI was an Adult Male: small adult size, dark coat, dark gray belly, and unsure about tags.

Team R&B started their day at the bay and came across a male seal. They were having a hard time figuring out who this was. At first they thought maybe R407 but did not see his natural bleach on his side.
Finally the seal flipped and they were surprised and knew this was R3CU. They saw his cc scar on his back with the natural bleach, saw his tag but couldn't read. His signature scar on his chest from a shark bite confirmed his ID.

At another west side location they found RM31 Kai. He was alone today at the seal inlet.

From there they headed over to the cliffs where they spotted a seal sleeping.  At first they weren't sure who it was until a wave hit. Immediately they could see it was RP30 Puka

Lastly they stopped at Makaha Beach hoping to find the two seals on shore. When they looked earlier there were no seals, but on their way back they saw a seal resting onshore. It was RL08 who was alone today, seems R413 dumped him.
