May 26, 2024 Sunday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:16 to 1:40 pm and there was only one seal seal during that time.

When Marilyn arrived there were no seals but then at 12:44 pm. weaner PO3 hauled out. He was on the Lanikai side of the LPB. He moved up some and then went into snooze mode. PO3 was identified by his weaner size and shape.

Marilyn also spent time watching the Masked Boobies on the outer crater rim. The second booby of the pair landed for a short while, but then flew away. The chick which Marilyn first saw on 5/24, was visible part of the time today.

Team R&B started at the bay, and when they arrived a friend notified them a seal was on site.

They found RL70 Leina snoozing. She was alone below on the rocks near the zen garden. RL70 is getting very green.

Their next stop was at Nimitz. They found Mr. Kawika R407 on his reef alone and snoozing. There were a lot of people arriving and there was on with a dog thankfully on a leash. Team R&B stayed for just over an hour to make sure R407 was safe and people stayed respectful.

Team R&B had searched all day hoping to find more seals and in between they got to enjoy the dolphins at play.

Finally at another west side location ended up being the best moments of the day. They found three males on the rocks. First there was RM31 Kai who was close to seal inlet. He was laying on his side looking comfortable.

Then there was R416 hidden in the rocks and RG28 Lefty was just to his right

RG28 was getting slammed by the waves and appeared he wanted to leave. It also seemed he wanted R416 to head out with him. So RG28 rolled, looked at R416,

galumphed on the edge of the rocks, looked again and then dove into the water. But he kept posturing from his chest up, looking pretty cute wanting R416 to join in.
