November 30, 2023 Thursday's Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 1:04 to 3:08 and there were nine seals on island during that time.
A group of three seals on the 1BS side of LPB:
Unknown Adult: adult size, newer coat, pit scar above right shoulder, unknown sex or if there were tags.
RG32: adult size, old coat, didn't see belly or rear flippers but the coat looked shaggy behind the RFF. He was originally hidden behind the UA.
Next to RG32 was an Unknown Juvenile: juvenile size, new coat, lighter ventral did not see full ventral
or rear flippers.
Initially up in the dunes on the Makapuu side of 1BS was an Adult Male: adult size, newer coat, gray male belly and two red tags. Not long before Marilyn left he had moved down out of the dunes on LPB.
At middle cliff was a Sub-adult Male: sub-adult size, newer coat, light male belly and two red tags.
Up in the dunes near the 3BS were two seals:
Adult Female: adult size, older coat, tan-gray female belly and at least one red tag.
Nearby was an Unknown Sub-adult: sub-adult size, newer coat, did not see ventral side or if there were tags.
Between 3BS and SRI was (possibly) RK24 Wawamalu/Bruno: adult size, newer coat, light gray male belly and two red tags, anda scar on the right rear side.
Barely visible out at RRB was an Unknown Weaner:: weaner size, yellow belly and two red tags.

Team R&B spent a lot of time searching and finally they found a seal at tracks. It was R3CX up near the vines snoozing peacefully.
They were thrilled to see the dolphins out !
In addition the doves were on the rocks eating and kitty cat was stalking them. Oh the things they see.
After a while RL20 Kalua arrived and joined Nalu up by the greenery.
Unfortunately they were not able to rest peacefully once a woman and her dog arrived and walked by the seals. One seal hurried away from the dog and the other seal postured.  The woman wasn't concerned and continued looking for shells.

Team R&B had left the site and made it back to check on how the seals were doing.  The shell woman also returned with her dog. Team R&B couldn't take it so they called out to her to watch out for the seals. The woman's response...... Oh I never saw them there..... REALLY????
