Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:40 to 1:50 and there only the two weaners on island today.
They were near each other on the rock flats of LPB. Very close to the spot they were in yesterday.
Marilyn thinks she may have found a way to distinguish between the two chubbettes.
She noted a silver dollar size NB on her lower right side. It didn't help that the two weaners were in snooze mode the entire time.
Team R&B found a seal sprawled out on the rocks. They checked it out and there was Kai RM31 basking it the hot sun alone. He may be close to molting, his coat is looking quite grubby.
The area was packed with people, especially being a long weekend. Team R&B was quick to get an ID and headed out so people wouldn't notice.
Before leaving the site completely, they spotted a seal "stuffed" in the rocks, just its hind flippers were visible. Looking closer next to him was the lovely RH76 Kala, looking very fat.
On their last stop they found the little green seal. He was alone today and also looks like he is due for a molt. Since all the beaches were super crowded they decided to take care of themselves and call it a day!
