Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:35to 2:35 and there was a total of four seals on island.
The only visible seal at the beginning was what she believes was RK38 Hali'a: adult size, greenish gray belly and two red tags. She wrapped herself around a rock located on the beach near 1BS. She was gone by 1:45
Marilyn could see part of a seal in the SRI inlet soon after she arrived. It moved up the channel and onto the beach about 1:30 pm. This seal is labeled Unknown Subadult: large juvenile to smaller subadult size.
What she believed to be PO4 now weaner RS34 hauled onto the rocks at 1:45 and then onto the beachbetween the 3BS and SRI. Its very difficult to tell the two weaners apart.
At 2:25 what she believed to be weaner PO4 now RS12 hauled out onto the rock flats of LPB. She almost immediately moved behind some rocks.
Team R&B checked out the bay this morning. They found Nalu R3CX on the rocks alone and resting.
To the other side of the rocks was the charming fat lady Kala RH76. She was alone today and resting comfortably.
Then they notices a seal swimming pass. They got a couple of quick pictures but nor sure who this unknown swimmer could be.
At another west side location they arrived and as usually never know what they going to find. Today was no different and really disturbing to find a dead cat that looked like it had been killed not long ago.
On a much happier note they did find little Puka RP30. He was alone resting on the rocks. They stood by when they noticed someonehanging out being a little weird. So they waved and the dudes' reaction wasn't exactly what you would expect. So they got a couple of quick shots of RP30 and left the area.
Last stop for the day they spent time searching the area. They found one green seal snoozing. It was mostly hidden in the rocks. They were able to ID him as RL08.
