Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:25 to 2:55 and there was little activity with a total of four seals today.
RB12 Sadie and PO4 were swimming until she found them hauled out at 2:02. Sadie is getting thinner and PO4 is getting plumper with each day. Once again PO4 showed its ventral side, Marilyn is still guessing female. This may be an ongoing guessing game.
Initially PO3 was in the tide pool in front of the beach at middle cliff. She appeared to be eating something she found in the tide pool. (most likely a weaners delight seacucumber). Then she crawled out of the tide pool and then was seen between the 3BS and Middle Cliff at 2:48 pm. This is the farthest Makapuu that Marilyn has seen her. Unfortunately she crawled into a tide pool and Marilyn lost sight of her.
There was an Unknown Unknown behind the waterfront rocks about 50 feet of the 3BS. The U/U was almost entirely hidden during Marilyn's viewing session.
Team R&B headed out and spent some time at the bay watching the dolphins. There were lots of them from afar. That's when they suddenly spotted a seal passing in front of them. The seal landed and they easily knew it was their girl RH76 Kala.
They checked all their usual spots but came up empty. They decided not to tempt fate when a huge scary storm cloud was looming. They stopped for an errand and when they came out it was pouring so they called it a day.
