May 25, 2023 Thursdays Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Tammy, Melody, Marilyn and Team R&B💕

Tammy was out and about today, and it seems like its been a while.  She had a good seal day!
Catching up with pups PO6 and PO7. The new kids are doing just fine and Moms RL42 Leia and RN58 Luana are also doing just fine!
Tammy later met up with Lesley and they headed out to the point. Their first find was Holokai RG40. Next there was Kami RL74 sleeping on the reef. Lastly was Kaena RO40, it actually took them a bit to get a positive ID.
Apparently Ka'ena was having too much fun imitating a hippo, he made it difficult to get his ID.
Albatross chicks are losing their chicky feathers.

In yesterday news, Melody went to visit Kaiwi RK96 and PO5 Pualani. Yesterday made 9 days that big brother RK24 has been hanging around. Mom and Pup were busy swimming, nursing and snoozing. They went for a swim out past the Natatorium, over to OCC and back to Kaimana Beach.
Seems RK24 took it upon himself to follow behind them. Kaiwi was very good keeping him at distance, if he got too close she would let him know immediately.   She's looking really thin, weaning is probably coming soon.

Marilyn viewed Rabbit Island from 12:35 to 2:20 and the two weaners had the island to themselves.
Both weaners were in the vicinity of LPB. When Marilyn first arrived they were not visible, it wasn't until she saw some flippers did she realize they were out there.
At 1:11 pm she noticed that Weaner A had hauled out onto LPB from the surge channel, weaner size,
very light female belly and two red tags. IF she had to guess, she would say this is RS34.
At 1:45 pm Marilyn saw that Weaner B had hauled out onto the rock flats of LPB. She only saw the hind and right rear side of this weaner.

Team R&B headed out today and found RM31 Kai out cold on the rocks with Kala RH76. They were both resting peacefully and undisturbed.
Then they spotted three seals on the rocks. They were truly surprised, but there was RL20 Kalua, Lei Ola RH48 and big boy Nalu R3CX.
Apparently Lei Ola had moved, which RL20 decided to move about and look in her direction. That was too much for R3CX to handle so he went ballistic on RL20. Charged the little guy who took off into the shallow water and hung out.
Lei Ola wasn't happy with the bickering so she moved up the rocks. R3CX slowly approached and joined her. Thats when RL20 took the opportunity to return to the rocks.
