12/17/2021 Friday Monk Seal Dailies

Todays dailies are brought to you by Team T&D and Team R&B💕

Team T&D hiked out to the point, passing by Lesley, Diane and Liz at the point.  Team T&Ds first seal find was RL98. Down the beach was from RL98 was Kami RL74. Both girls were in the same spot on their was out.

Next seal find was RW02 PvKauai, which Lesley help them ID.  While Team T&D were at the point looking for whales, they saw Squinty R330 enter the main pool and haul onto the rock island. He settled in and got some rest.

Then to end their report they documented an Albatross pooping mid-flight. 

Team R&B got out to the beach in the afternoon, as they had some things to take care of this morning. 

When they finally got to one of the sites they found Kekoa Alii RK72 and RH32 Kaale on the rocks snoozing. They were not together but at the same site. They found R3CX Nalu snoozing the pond.

Out on the water they noticed the NOAA boat cruising by.  Team R&B got to see whales too, not to mention the beautiful moon.

At another west side location they found four seals on the rocks, all snoozing. There was RL20 Kalua, RH76 Kala, RG28 Lefty and last but not least Benny snoozing in the playboy pond.

Checking out the bay there were no seals but shark sighting signs were up. Team R&B didn't see any other seals. They did see and heard the storm approaching. It soon began to pour, loud thunder and there was lighting.  On their way home they saw mudslides Makua area and flooding along their route.
